Who we are

DrivoPilot provides driving-school management software and is the data controller for the information you give us through this website and when you use the service. To get in touch about privacy, email hello@drivopilot.com.

What we collect

We collect the information you provide when you contact us, start a trial or run your school on DrivoPilot, such as your name, email, phone number and business details, along with the pupil and instructor records you enter. We also collect basic technical and usage data (for example, device and log information) to keep the service secure and working as it should.

Lawful basis

We process your data to deliver the contract you sign up for, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the service. Where the law requires it, we rely on your consent (for example, to send optional marketing emails). You can withdraw consent at any time.

How we use it

We use your data to provide and improve the service, respond to your enquiries, take payments, send essential service messages and (with your consent) marketing messages, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data with trusted processors who help us run DrivoPilot, for example our payment provider (Stripe), our email provider and our cloud hosting provider, all under contracts that require them to protect your data. We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.

International transfers

Some of our processors may store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as approved contractual clauses) to keep your data protected.

Retention

We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email hello@drivopilot.com to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
